Manchester City lost Raheem Sterling to injury in the 83rd minute of their 2-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
The winger picked up what looked like a muscle injury on his left leg while trying to put a cross in, which led to him being replaced by Bernardo Silva.
This isn't good news for City and Pep Guardiola, with the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie with Real Madrid to come on February 26.
If Sterling isn't able to play at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu, City will lose their second top scorer this season.
The Englishman's tally of 20 for the campaign is only bettered by Sergio Aguero's 21 in all competitions.
However, Sterling has gone eight games without a goal.

Personally I am glad to hear this news STERLING HAS BEEN DIABOLICAL THIS SEASON we should be playing GABRIEL JESUS instead of Sterling Sterling is fast but that is it he cannot tackle his pressing on and off the ball is laughable no defender is frightened of him his passing is constantly short or behind the player he is passing to he is constantly losing or giving the ball away he doesn't even use his speed to get right down the wing and cross the ball in you can even see the rest of the team beginning to look to pass the ball elsewhere rather than Sterling he is an overrated one trick pony WE SHOULD SELL HIM WHILST HE IS STILL WORTH SO MUCH BEFORE NOBODY WANTS HIM 😤he would not get in the LiVARfool squad fact 🤔I really liked the team today all except Sterling i am sorry but he has been our worst player this season for all his goals and I believe we would be much closer to LiVARfool had we played GABRIEL JESUS instead of Sterling!!!... rant over sorry 😜C. So surprised most fans of so called big team like Real Madrid are happy and jubilating about the Starling injury ahead of their UEFA first leg clash. I thought City is underdog versus Real Madrid, I now realize their hope of beating Man City is when City is bedeviled by injuries among their key players.
