Manchester City have brought goalkeeper Pierce Charles back to the club from Sheffield Wednesday.
City have reportedly paid £3m for the 20-year-old, who has signed a five-year deal through to June 2031.
Charles came through City's academy before joining Wednesday in 2021 but will now spend the 2026-27 season on loan with Championship side QPR.
He made his debut for Wednesday in the FA Cup in 2024 against Coventry City before cementing the number one spot for the 2025-26 season.
Charles made 21 appearances in all competitions last term, seeing his time on the pitch limited by a shoulder injury.
"To be back at Manchester City is a very special and proud moment both for me and my family," he said.
"I know first-hand what a special club City is, and I am so excited about looking to the future.
"City take the development of young players very seriously, so I know that my loan to QPR will only help me grow and improve as a player too.
"I'll now give everything I can for a successful season in the Championship before hopefully returning to Manchester a better goalkeeper."
