Man City stars scoop over £15m in bonuses following domestic Treble win

Manchester City's stars collectively scooped upwards of £15million in bonuses for completing an unprecedented domestic Treble.

Pep Guardiola became the first manager since Sir Alex Ferguson in 2009 to win consecutive Premier League crowns before City thrashed Watford in Saturday’s FA Cup final.

Guardiola’s players have been handsomely remunerated for pulling off the feat, which started with the Carabao Cup victory over Chelsea in February.

Sportsmail understands the bonuses, written into contracts, are determined on an individual basis.

The more established senior professionals, including Kevin De Bruyne and David Silva, were awarded in the region of £750,000 for pipping Liverpool to the title.

It is believed those bonuses range between £400,000 and £750,000 for the vast majority of Guardiola’s first team, adding up to a sizeable windfall.

They are not quite as large as bonuses for Champions League glory, however, with those heading towards the £1m mark.

The scale of European incentives is partly down to the huge prize money on offer to the eventual winners. Real Madrid won almost £77m last season.
