Manchester City have unveiled their new home shirt for the 2023-24 season, with the jersey paying tribute to the Etihad Stadium's 20th anniversary.
The strip, designed by global sportswear giants Puma, has taken inspiration from the standout navy blue kit worn during the club's first campaign at the ground.
City moved to the Etihad in August 2003 after spending 80 years at Maine Road, with the switch of venue marking the beginning of a trophy-filled, glittering era.
In homage, Puma have designed the latest release with the architecture of the ground in mind. Indeed, the front graphic of the jersey has taken inspiration from the four giant turrets positioned around the venue, forming the subtle tonal strips.
The postcode of the stadium is also displayed on the back of its collar, again marking the two-decade milestone, while the kit is completed with a white V-neck, one identical to the same design used for the Etihad's first kit, the 2003-04 home strip.
Cutting-edge technology has been used, meanwhile, to provide optimal performance and comfort on the pitch for City's squad of superstars.
The kit is engineered with an ULTRAWEAVE fabric and fitted with a four-way stretch design to reduce weight and friction, allowing the players to move freely.
In stores, the Replica version available is made with 100 percent recycled polyester and dryCELL technology, allowing its wearer to remain dry and comfortable.
Both jerseys are made with 100 percent recycled materials, excluding the trim.
As part of the launch, Puma and City invited a selection of supporters and club representatives to feature alongside the men's and women's first-team players.
Shaun Wright-Phillips, part of the side that played at the Etihad during its inaugural season and now a club ambassador, hopes the new kit will bring back old memories.
'The Etihad Stadium plays an important role in Manchester City's history,' he said. 'Players and fans will hold special memories of moments shared there, so it's fantastic that Puma has taken inspiration from it for this year's home kit.
'I'm incredibly proud to have worn the Manchester City shirt and played during that debut season at the Etihad. I hope this year's shirt brings back lots of memories for our fans, as it has for me.'
Marco Mueller, Puma's senior head of product line management Teamsport, added: 'The 20th anniversary of Manchester City's move to the Etihad Stadium is a momentous occasion, celebrating the incredible rise of the club over that period.
'The new Home kit is a tribute to the incredible moments shared there and the unwavering support of the fans.
'The jersey combines modern design elements with tributes to the club's first season at the new ground, creating a unique and meaningful kit for the payers and the fans, celebrating the place they call home.'
The new home strip is available from today in stores, online and at the Etihad.

What City has done is amazing. They were in full control of the game throughout. To start with they had possession in their hand as usual, the hunger to win the ball back whenever they lost it, the passes, rescuing balls from difficult situations in defence to the creativity, each and every thing went their way perfectly. Ball control was a bit problem and KDB didn't seem upto the mark however the team which is assembled is a masterpiece in itself. It was a treat to watch City play against the ballon d or winner striker and midfielder, both of them just reduced to being the spectators of the masters at work in midfield. I although appreciate the sound of ball hitting the cross bar, pure brilliance by Kroos (That noise literally gives orgasm to any football lover). Sheer discipline and plan execution was demonstrated by the citizens while Madrid was relying on pointless tactics (Eyebrow raise) of Ancelotti. Don Carlo was reduced to Lost Carlo. Magical Silva was the Silver lining, everyone was upto the mark, even the subs. A brilliant display of English football.

The fact is that Pep Guardiola have turned Man City into a monster of a club. Their dominance is out of this world. And because of this, whenever rivals hear of playing at Etihad sounds like going to WAR against City

I have got a confession.I am a Manchester United fan, but I can't be bias anymore. My respect for Pep Guardiola now supersedes that of every manager. As much as I hate to say this, I want city to win the ucl for the fact that they have worked tremendously hard for this, and thus they deserve this ong.
