Manchester City are spending their unexpected time off wisely by reportedly negotiating new contracts for both Kevin De Bruyne and Raheem Sterling.
Football has come to a halt due to the coronavirus pandemic and the Premier League has been suspended until April 3 at least.
And according to the Sun, Pep Guardiola's side are using the Premier League postponement to accelerate fresh talks with two of their star players, in Belgium midfielder De Bruyne and England star Sterling.
The City star's are both tied down at the Etihad until 2023 after putting pen to papers on new deals back in 2018.
And the reigning Premier League champions are desperate to see them sign on for the foreseeable future as they look to keep the core of their star players amid their European ban.
City were dealt a massive blow last month after they were banned from the Champions League for the next two seasons for 'serious breaches' of UEFA's financial fair play regulations.
City were found to have circumvented FFP rules between 2012 and 2016 and have been fined £25million.
They have since taken action against their two-season ban by registering an appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
