Patrick Roberts is joining Norwich City on a season loan from Manchester City.
The 22-year old winger has been on loan at Celtic and Girona since joining City from Fulham but will get his chance in the Premier League under Daniel Farke next season.
Roberts has been a target for Leicester City in the past but they are weighing up other targets.
Norwich, meanwhile, are looking to stretch a limited transfer budget of around £25million.
City were happy to let Roberts move to Carrow Road following the success of Angus Gunn's loan there in 2017-18.
Gunn was subsequently sold to Southampton for £13.5million.

He could have been great, I don’t think he’ll ever reach his potential though. He’s wasted valuable years due to injuries and some poor decisions like insisting to go back to Celtic for a second loan spell instead of challenging himself at a serious league. Last season’s loan spell at Girona didn’t work out either. It’s a shame cause he’s genuinely very gifted.

It is a shame given the potential he clearly had when he was breaking through at Dortmund. Agreed, might be a good signing for Stuttgart next season imo.

Passlack would have been a starter had Max Aarons not come out of nowhere to be the best young player in the EFL.

Not the greatest signing ngl, a newly promoted team need to look for players with premier league experience, and Roberts only has 3 premier league apps. He was alright at Girona last season but got injured in December. He had a decent time at Celtic but was a bit inconsistent...

Two things that really irritate me are 1: clubs loaning players to other clubs in the same league and 2: the amount of players some clubs have. There should be a cap.

He was excellent for Celtic, always put a shift in and adored by the fans. Reckon he'll do a job at Norwich.

For me, his second season was very good but the first and third seasons were good at times but he had games where he just wasn't at his best. At Norwich, it'll all depend on what he can do in the prem, which is why it may not be right for a side like norwich who can't take risks

He can play as full back and have skills to deliver ball in the box like mendy and zinchenko. It will better if got chances to play for city.

Was really impressed with Roberts when he was younger, he looked like the next Messi, but going to Scottish football wasn't a good move and he has been plagued with injuries which haven't helped. If he looks at the progress mo Salah has made through sheer hard work and belief in his own ability, he could still end up as a class player
