You may have seen Federico Valverde's cynical red card in the dying stages of Real Madrid's Spanish Super Cup win over rivals Atletico Madrid.
With the scores level at 0-0 deep into extra-time, Atletico striker Alvaro Morata found himself clean through on goal, until Valverde hacked him down from behind with no intention of playing the ball.
As Valverde was the last man, he was sent off, with Real going on to win the trophy on penalties - something they may not have done had Morata been allowed a shot on goal and scored.
The clip of Valverde's professional foul has gone viral, and prompted a debate over how sporting the tackle was. One side of the argument is that Valverde took the red card for the good of the team, and his decision was justified as his side went on to win the game. Others disagree, saying the tackle was not made with an attempt to win the ball and was not in the spirit of the game.
One sidenote of the conversation has come from Manchester United fans, who saw striking similarities between Valverde's red card and one shown to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in 1998.
With United drawing with Newcastle, knowing a win would keep their title hopes alive, Solskjaer was faced with the same decision as Valverde as he chased down striker Rob Lee.
Lee was through on goal, and Solskjaer decided to clip his heels just before he reached the penalty area. He received a red card and United held onto their point.
Solskjaer has since revealed how manager Sir Alex Ferguson reacted to the red card, saying he received the infamous 'hairdryer treatment' in the dressing room - despite preventing a goalscoring opportunity.
He told FourFourTwo last year: "I would advise [my players] not to do it, because I ended up with a fine and a hairdryer! I had to catch Rob Lee before he got into the penalty area.
"I made up some ground and thought: 'I'm catching him!' But I stiffened up in the last five metres and realised I wasn't catching him…
"I was applauded off but I wasn't applauded by the gaffer. He laid down the law with me and said: 'At Manchester United we never win that way; we win by fair play.'
"It was an eye-opener for me. Some managers would have said 'well done, son', but he would not accept that way of winning, which says everything about him."
