Reading lead the chase to sign Manchester United's highly-rated goalkeeper Joel Pereira on loan for the rest of the season.
On Wednesday, it was announced that Pereira is heading back to United after a loan spell at Portuguese side Vitoria Setubal.
The Red Devils are looking to let the 22-year-old leave on a temporary basis once again in order for him to gain experience.
Pereira is wanted by a few clubs, with Reading leading the way, and United want him to gain some minutes under his belt after an indifferent spell with Vitoria.
The shot-stopper featured in nine games for the Primeira Liga outfit but didn't enjoy his time back in his homeland.
With United well stocked in the goalkeeper department it's best for him to go out on loan.
The Premier League side outfit have David de Gea, Sergio Romero and Lee Grant as their first-team options with Dean Henderson shining out on loan at Sheffield United.
