Manchester United goalkeeper Tom Heaton has suffered an injury blow on the eve of the Premier League season which has ruled him out of their opening game with Wolves and could leave them alarmingly short of cover.
United are already without Dean Henderson although he nears recovery from his thigh injury and they sold Nathan Bishop to Sunderland last week.
They have a £7.5million offer on the table from Bayer Leverkusen for Matej Kovar while 19-year old Radek Vitek picked up a knee injury that put his proposed loan to Accrington Stanley on hold.
Kovar, who won the league on loan at Sparta Prague last season, is eager to get his move to Leverkusen sorted but United will have to decide whether that has to wait.
United have been searching for keepers regardless with Nottingham Forest still intent on signing Henderson.
Fenerbahce's Altay Bayindir is considered a prime target for United with a £5million deal discussed in recent weeks.
United have been talking to the Turkish side over the past 24 hours as they push to finalise a £13million deal for Brazilian midfielder Fred who is close to agreeing terms.
United are assessing Heaton's muscular injury but early indications are he could face at least a few weeks on the sidelines.
Heaton had also drawn interest from Luton Town and Everton this summer but Erik ten Hag is eager to have experienced back up for Andre Onana.

The market valuation of some Man United players for this recent period had witnessed significantly low price. I think this devaluation situation supposed to be a measure question to the man united directors. The club spend higher in buying and receives some relatively low in selling, even when the players have no difference in their respective current performance contributions.
