Manchester United have been continuing their warm-weather training camp in Spain as they gear up for their first friendly fixture against Cadiz this week.
Erik ten Hag has been putting his team through its paces in southern Spain, with a group of young players gaining invaluable experience alongside some experienced senior players.
United took part in their second session on Sunday afternoon, and here is what we spotted:
What was immediately noticeable from the second session of the warm-weather camp was the increase in intensity from the gentler opening one.
United players were seen operating at a much higher tempo as they went through a range of passing drills as well as some hard-fought mini-matches.
After so long without meaningful action, Ten Hag has clearly made it his focus to gradually get back up to match speed ahead of the opening clash on Wednesday night.
Shola Shoretire often goes under the radar at youth level given just how long he has been on the scene. The 18-year-old might not be the hottest young talent at the club anymore, but he is still one of the brightest.
He impressed in the technical challenges he was filmed taking part in, particularly with the way in which he manipulated the ball during one drill.
The teenager expertly controlled a drilled pass on his right knee and performed four keepy-ups before guiding the ball into a bucket without it touching the ground.
A whole host of youngsters made the trip to Cadiz and it was interesting to see which ones were pitted alongside the senior stars for an intense 6v6 drill.
Overseen by Darren Fletcher and Steve McClaren, the likes of Scott McTominay, Donny van de Beek and Aaron Wan-Bissaka played alongside six of the most senior youth players on the trip.
Alejandro Garnacho and Zidane Iqbal are essentially first-teamers now and were joined by experienced centre-backs Teden Mengi and Di'Shon Bernard.
The group of youngsters was finished with the inclusion of Shoretire and Isak Hansen-Aarøen, which perhaps hinted at the current hierarchy Ten Hag has in place.
What was clear to see across both sessions, and particularly the second, was just how much emphasis Ten Hag has placed on technical drills, in particular ones focused on passing at a high intensity.
It is clear how the Dutchman wants his team to play and although he is currently without a host of senior stars to call upon, it says a lot that he is trying to implement the same approach across all age groups.
It might be a makeshift lineup across the two friendly matches, but Ten Hag still wants them to play the same way they have been all season.

It's high time ETH stoped believing only in Dalo, what if he's injured??? Y does he want to keep him like a spare wheel It's so unfair 😕 he should start playing him so that keeps learning his tactics.
AWB doesn't fit into his philosophy, sometimes I get mad at ETH for not playing him too. Bt, it is what it is...they're bringing in Dumfries or Frimpong come January

Yes, he should be playing him because he still a better player than Phil Jones and Lindlof. Wan Bsska helped the team to come out second in 2020-21 season.
why are you bringing lindelof and jones here, they are central defenders.....AWB is a right back
