Man Utd ‘in talks with clubs to ship out Antony’ with Rashford likely to follow

MANCHESTER UNITED are holding talks with several clubs to offload Antony during the January transfer window, reports suggest.

The winger joined United from Ajax in 2022 following a staggering £85million deal.

However, the 24-year-old never lived up to expectation as he has since managed a mere 12 goals and five assists in 94 appearances with Man Utd.

The Brazil international's struggles at Old Trafford have persisted this season as he has only amassed one goal in 12 appearances across all competitions without starting a single Premier League match.

According to Sky Sports, the Red Devils are talking to numerous teams over a potential loan deal this month.

Among those clubs is Real Betis who are in the market for a winger having just sold Assane Diao to Como.

United are willing to listen to offers across the board as Antony appears to have fallen out of favour under new manager Ruben Amorim.

SunSport reported that Conference League holders Olympiacos were very keen on the Brazilian.

However, talks hit a snag and a move to Greece now appears to be highly unlikely.

Man Utd may also see star man Marcus Rashford following Antony out the door.

According to transfer insider Gianluca Di Marzio, today is a "decisive day" for Rashford's future.

The star forward has fallen down the pecking order under Amorim and the player revealed he is "ready for a new challenge".

The England international has been linked with a move to AC Milan and Napoli.

Milan had been expected to sign the 27-year-old, but reports in Italy claim the deal is close to collapse due to concerns over his fitness.

Napoli boss Antonio Conte is a huge admirer of Rashford and the club think signing him could appease fans who are angry about Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s reportedly impending move to Paris Saint-Germain.

Interest remains from Saudi Arabia but the Man Utd star, who wants to get his place in the England squad back, isn’t believed to be keen on the idea of a move away from Europe.
