David de Gea's latest mistake meant Chelsea took a point against Manchester United to stay in control of the top-four race.

Chelsea ensured the race for a place in the Premier League's top four remains in their hands after a 1-1 draw with Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Another error from David de Gea allowed Marcos Alonso to cancel out Juan Mata's opener and claim what could be a valuable point in the quest for Champions League qualification.
United started the day knowing anything less than a win would leave them needing a few favours in the final two matches of the season, and they deservedly went ahead in the first half after producing a far better performance than they have managed in their recent run of seven defeats in nine games in all competitions.
But De Gea, who made costly mistakes against Barcelona and Manchester City in recent games, gifted Alonso a simple finish that could prove fatal to United's top-four hopes.

This year premier leauge is at its best. Nothing is yet confirmed anyone could slip through. The top 4 is not confirmed, The title race is not yet confirmed. Everything will be confirmed at the very end of the leauge. Well it's no surprise. Practically 95% of both fanbases knew that both our teams are crap and salvaging a draw was the best result either of us could really get.... I just hope that Sarri doesnt see Alonso as a starter now just cos of this goal. This was probably our worst line up in a while and probably one of our top 5 worst games but at least United were bad enough for us to grind through the game... De Gea thank you for the howler but now it's your fault if Alonso gets picked in the future. Example of an awful game but a positive result...

It was a battle between midfield and defenders ...forwards weren’t involved in the game...Herrera, Matic, Kovacic Hazard were the key players of the Match..it’s hard to get the ball from Hazard and United had to chase him...Thought Pogba would do something but he was too lazy he had many opportunities to go to wing and collect ball from Shaw but he didn’t do those runs, I think he was more worried to operate in center...he needs to do more runs... Wasn’t an easy game for both the teams game was too important for United and losing would be a problem for Chelsea.... Poor performance by Chelsea we could've won this game with ease.Higuain must be taught how to manage the off sides. The last chance he had could have resulted into a gaol but the guy paid too much attention to the linesman. Higuain should be told that first you score and if the linesman has to rule the goal out,let him do that when the goal is in the net. you can't do two things at the same time.looking at the flag and shooting at goal.shoot first and look at the linesman second.Higuyain you are a let down
