Countdown co-host Rachel Riley believes Manchester United chief executive Richard Arnold should be considering his position over his handling of the Mason Greenwood case.
Life-long United fan Riley had threatened to stop supporting the club if they'd allowed the 21-year-old to return to the team after he was suspended.
Charges of attempted rape, assault and coercive control against Greenwood were dropped in February but United and the forward mutually agreed he won't play for them again after conducting their own internal investigation.
Riley, speaking to The News Agents, said United had 'absolutely mismanaged' the Greenwood case and said she had 'never been more ashamed of the club.'
She accused the club of 'green-lighting abuse on social media' and said their support for Greenwood had 'turned an alleged abuser into a victim.'

The bottom line is, the girlfriend who reported him has forgiven him so who the hell are you to judge him? Manchester United was supposed to bring him back because she had decided to drop the charges, the courts have dropped the case so why continue to investigate if the one who was concerned had asked to free him, are we saying Manchester United is bigger than the courts?? And as for Riley, she created this mess and targeted Greenwood for being black, does she want to tell us that her husband or boyfriend has never abused her but they still made up and continued? She is such a disgrace and I will not support Manchester United anymore!!

Supporters come and Supporters go. We live in a world now that only cares about women. Men's rights and feelings no longer exist. The evidence in the public domain may be damning but assault and attempted rape is not a crime that warrants a lifetime penalty of not being able to earn a living. Especially when the victim has chosen to stay with the accused and now has his baby. Mendy's life has been ruined and the witches who ruined it was celebrated as been brave to speak up. I hear no one condemning their lies. I've seen females hit men and dare him to hit her back because she knows that he no longer has any rights. listen carefully to these so called rights activists and you will realize that they don't really care about rights because there is no mention of the baby and it's mother or their feelings, needs or rights. They only care about the destruction of the man, his manhood and his ability to earn and support his child. They want to be seen as righteous crusaders instead of the self righteous hypocrites they are.
