Juventus are willing to up their pursuit to bring Paul Pogba back to Turin this summer by offering Manchester United the services of Brazilian winger Douglas Costa in exchange.
Juve have been on alert since Pogba voiced his unhappiness at Old Trafford following last season, when Barcelona were heavily linked with a move.
The Italian giant will look to pursue the World Cup winner again, and will sanction the move of Costa in the opposite direction in order to get their man, as report Italian outlet Tuttosport.
Their front page on Friday carried the headline: 'The Bianconeri insist on the French world champion.'
It was at Juve that Pogba made his name in European football, after departing Manchester on a free deal following the expiration of his contract.
Then manager Sir Alex Ferguson was said to be unwilling to bow to the demands of agent Mino Raiola and pay the developing Pogba extortionate wages.
Pogba's time in Italy was strewn with silverware, with four league titles and two Coppa Italia trophies.
Juve also scooped the SuperCoppa Italiana twice with Pogba in their side, while making the 2015 Champions League final in Berlin, where they were bettered by Barcelona.
United have maintained a stance that their no 6 is not for sale, however the inclusion of 28-year-old Costa may prove an enticing option.
The winger is highly rated in European football, and could fill a void at Old Trafford should the club lose Anthony Martial.
The Frenchman's deal with United is running down, and Martial was another star alongside Pogba who voiced his displeasure in the summer.
Fortunes have turned around under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer however, with the club undefeated since his arrival to replace Jose Mourinho.

In my own opinion man utd do not need to sign defender's...Attack is the best defence, with the like of our close rivals man city and old rival Liverpool who has the best defence they concede goals too.The main reason we think we need defence is due to our backward coach who insist of defending and when u defend u concede newcastle for instance..We need to keep the momentum going cause it is going to keep our defender on their feet and I see man utd keeping clean sheet even against Tottenham.

Only 3 transfers I can dream of as a united fan. Koulubally Bale Neymar/Coutinho If we can pair Lindelof/Bailey with Koulubally then we have a solid Back line. Pair the Brilliance of either Neymar or coutinho with Paul as attacking midfielders with Ander Herrera helping in defensive duty is fit. We don't need Matic and Ander to both play in one game if our back line is solid. We are lacking a left footer who can fill up the right wing and I feel Dybala is the best option or Douglas probably.. With De Gea, Ashley Young, Lindelof, Koulubally, Shaw, Ander Herrera, Paul Pogba, Neymar, Martial, Rashford and Dybala what else do we need?

I think as a MU Fan, I disagree with that swap. it's pointless letting Paul go back to Juve, we still need him. If Juve doesn't want to let Costa come to Old Trafford then let's option out for someone else. Pogba is staying at Old Trafford, period!
