Manchester United will consider pulling the trigger on a €50million move for Porto defender Eder Militao in January, according to reports.
It is no secret that Jose Mourinho is seeking defensive reinforcements in January having failed to strengthen his back line over the summer.
The Times say they will now seriously consider making their move for the Brazilian defender, who has impressed in his first season of European football after a summer move from Sao Paolo.
He reportedly has a release clause which translates to roughly £45million in his contract, which Manchester United could use to bring him to Old Trafford.
The 20-year-old has appeared in 14 games for Porto this campaign across all competitions, and is high on Jose Mourinho's shortlist, which is thought to be headed by £90m-rated Napoli star Kalidou Koulibaly.
They have still got injury problems to address defensively, with Victor Lindelof set to be ruled out until the New Year plus Chris Smalling and Phil Jones recently dealing with niggling injury problems.

I think the media is just over emphasizing everything by linking man u with any player that has a release clause We need proper scouting before making signings and we shouldn't make anymore big money move(some of them feel too pampered by the amount and think they can't be sold or benched because United will run at a loss). we need to sign cheaper but good players who are hungry to prove themselves and at the same time humble #Reddevis GoGo
