Manchester United expect to clinch a £60million deal to sign Crystal Palace defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka during formal talks in the next 48 hours.
Sportsmail understands representatives from Old Trafford are scheduled to meet counterparts from Selhurst Park, an indication a deal is very close.
But there is now a growing inevitably that the right-back’s switch to United will go through in the coming days.
The latest talks are designed to iron out the finer details of Wan-Bissaka’s pending switch to join up with Ole Gunnar Solsjkaer’s side - but barring a last minute hitch - both clubs should leave the meeting with a deal in place.
It remains to be seen whether England Under 21 boss Aidy Bothroyd will allow Wan-Bissaka to complete the formalities of his switch north during international duty.
The defender is currently at the European Under 21 Championships in Italy.
