Paul Pogba and Antoine Griezmann combined to help France get their Euro 2020 qualifying campaign off to a flying start against Moldova.
The World Cup holders took the lead just past the midway point in the first half when the Manchester United midfielder dinked a superb first-time pass over the defensive line.
Griezmann still had work to do, but executed a blistering volley to perfection and slammed his side into the ascendancy.
The Atletico Madrid forward was heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford during Jose Mourinho’s first summer in charge at Old Trafford before he opted to commit his future to the Spanish club. Griezmann is again said to be considering his options as the summer transfer window approaches and, with his release clause set to drop to a relatively affordable €120 million, the likes of United and Barcelona are likely to renew their interest, a prospect that certainly caught the imagination of United fans given the evidence of the first half at the Zimbru Stadium…

I don't think we need him at the moment because we've got Rashford and Lukaku but Griezmann could be very useful in the sense that him and Pogba link up very well and they have a strong friendship and an unbreakable bond so that will mean better performances from both of them
