Fans have taken to social media to question Manchester United's decision to move for Marko Arnautovic after it was reported he used racial slurs.

The former West Ham forward was accused of racist language during Austria opening Euro 2020 game against North Macedonia.
The 33-year-old apologised to his opponents after Austria won the game 3-1 but insisted he was 'not a racist'.
One supporter took to social media to write: 'Arnautovic is racist btw he can stay as far away from my club'.
Another added: 'Manchester United do you guys know Arnautovic is a well established racist???'
While one supporter said: 'So Erik Ten Hag thinks a racist and third rate human being like Arnautovic will add character to the dressing room? What a clown lol'.
Other took to the social media site to say: 'Arnautovic is another nail in the coffin. A disgrace. Unbelievable. Shameful. Like laughing at every fans face. A racist b-class pubplayer and a total f***head.'
Another supporter agreed by writing: 'Cannot be allowed to happen, it's a disgrace remember Suarez with Evra? Arnautovic has form'.
'Ferguson used to call old managers, friends and even old teachers to determine the character of his players. How have Utd's crack recruitment team missed that Arnautovic is a rabid racist when all it took was a Google search?', another added.
Arnautovic was accused of being racist after he celebrated scoring Austria's third goal during their 3-1 win over North Macedonia at Euro 2020.
It was claimed on social media that he used an anti-Albanian slur towards Egzon Bejtulai, who is of that background.
Arnautovic was then pictured engaging in a heated exchange with Bejtulai's team-mate Gjanni Alioski after the goal.
It is believed Arnautovic said 'I'm f***ing your Albanian mother' in the direction of Alioski, according to Koha.
The reason for the slur appears to relate to the Kosovo War, in which Serbia and Albania came into conflict over the Kosovo region. Arnautovic, whose father is Serbian, came to blows with Alioski, who can speak Albanian.
The same report suggests that Arnautovic made the slur in Serbian, believing that the Leeds United star would understand him.
Austria captain David Alaba was seen holding Arnautovic's jaw to stop the striker from speaking. Only when he stopped speaking to Alioski did the former Bayern Munich man release his grip.
Arnautovic escaped a fine of £7,600 for the statement, with fans calling for UEFA to ban the feisty forward following the incident.
Arnautovic also took to Instagram shortly after the game to insist he is not 'racist' and talk about his 'emotions' during the game.
Arnautovic said: 'There were some heated words yesterday in the emotions of the game for which I would like to APOLOGIZE — especially to my friends from North Macedonia and Albania.
'I would like to say one thing very clearly: I AM NOT A RACIST! I have friends in almost every country and I stand for diversity. Everyone who knows me is aware of that.'

Regardless if he says he’s not racist. Man Utd have a banner that stands against fascism, and for that reason alone we shouldn’t buy him plus he’s a average player at best we can do better.

Must we always get the tired legs in attack. We have young midfielders that have not been given the chance, soon they will turn stars in other clubs when they leave

I start doubting ETH abilities. Playing Eriksen as a false 9 with cr7 on the bench while he never tried it on preseason, trying to sign 33 y.o average and bad character arnautovic, trusting Maguire instead of Varane, believing in Mcfred while zidane proved in preseason that he's better are all facts that I should doubt Ten Hag

That's way in 2020, it's now 2022 everyone makes silly post in the past... and have done silly things also, he got fined and prolly won't even do such thing again... be wise ManU fans, and think about football and Europa League and stop bashing someone for their wrongs... #AllLivesMatters #BlackLivesMatter #WhiteLivesMatter I'm black, I called myself black, and everyone calls me black, I don't mind... cause it's true, I love my skin... But if I was white, I would do the same, why complain?? This is nonsense tbh
