Manchester United fans have been reacting to former forward Angel Di Maria's brilliant match-winning performance for Paris Saint-Germain against Real Madrid in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
Without front-three Kylian Mbappe, Edinson Cavani and Neymar, Madrid were firmly the favourites prior to the game but were humbled by a battling PSG side with former Everton man Idrissa Gueye marshaling the midfield and Di Maria grabbing two goals.
It was a brilliant performance from Di Maria which has had some fans wondering what could have been had he managed to play at this level at Old Trafford.
The 31-year-old spent an ill-fated season at United between 2014-15 and despite a bright start he never adjusted to life in the Premier League and was sold the following summer.
He also trolled Old Trafford fans last season, pretending to drink a beer which had been thrown onto the pitch, when PSG beat United in a Champions League first leg tie.
So while some fans are wishing this was the Di Maria who played at United, others simply have no sympathy - and are pointing out he failed at the club.

Madrid have some problems but I would not take anything away from the way PSG played. No team has dominated Madrid like that this season and they did it without mbappe and neymar and oh cavani.

So he failed Utd despite big money placed on him ..finally we decided to sell him to PSG even at a huge loss ..
