Many football fans found Manchester United's Champions League comeback win over Paris Saint-Germain difficult to believe.

Just as incredible was one United fan's remarkably precise prediction of the score and circumstances of his team's victory.

Hours before the game, the fan tweeted: 'Honestly got a good feeling about this. Probably either we get totally hammered or we really put on a show. Lukaku with 2. PSG comes back with 1 and Rashford fires home 92mins into injury time!'

Manchester United star Diogo Dalot, who came on as a 36th-minute substitute for Eric Bailly, replied to the using a trio of emojis, bemused by the tweet's accuracy.

One person tweeted: 'Paul the Octopus 2.0,' referring to the octopus that correctly predicted the outcome of the 2010 World Cup.

Some football fans were more sceptical however, with one suggesting that the mystic man had manually changed his iPhone time and date in order to appear to have tweeted before the start of the match.

Romelu Lukaku gave United the lead just two minutes into the game at Parc des Princes, before Juan Bernat restored PSG's two-goal advantage.

Lukaku scored again on 30 minutes, capitalising on a goalkeeping error when Gigi Buffon spilled Marcus Rashford's dipping shot.

The prophecy came true when referee Damir Skomina awarded United a controversial penalty in stoppage time.
