Manchester United fans are convinced that executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward was forced to tell Phil Jones to be quiet after the defender appeared to say 'sacked in the morning' during his side's defeat by West Ham.
Footage captured on Sky Sports and then later broadcast on Match of the Day has left United fans convinced that Jones felt the wrath of Woodward.
Jones was sat in the row behind Woodward and appeared to shake his head in disgust at something on the pitch before muttering something.
Fans on social media believe he said 'sacked in the morning', clearly making reference to Solskjaer's future.

Without hesitation, Woodward quickly turned around and issued a sharp response with some suggesting he said: 'We’re on camera. Stop'.Onlookers took to Twitter to express their fury at the embarrassing situation on Sunday with one saying: 'Rivalries aside they are one of the biggest clubs in world football & Phil Jones is caught doing this - that dressing room & team is finished if this sort of things that fringe players who've done nothing are coming out with'.
However, a wider angle of the incident appears to show Woodward is, in fact, talking to another member of United's staff.

Manchester united must splash out at least 500mil to build a team that will challenge Liverpool and man city. Or else we're going nowhere even in the next five years.. The problem is not from coaches even if you sack Ole and bring pep or klopp the result is still the same due to lack of experienced player that's why pogba and de gea wanted to leave...and Ed Woodward should stop handling transfer deals... We need a professional to do the job... And the glazers family must fund the transfer. Just like oil money city did, if we might not even play at the Europa league next season... We the fans are the once suffering it.. We pay huge amount of money to pissed off and saddened by the result we get... Glazers must do something .. They should raise fund for transfer.. For players like bruno Fernandez....Sancho...rice....chilwell... Maddison... Diop and haaland and get rid of old players and average players like.. lingard...matic...Jones.. Smalling...Sanchez etc.. Always united
