Manchester United target Jules Kounde has seen Sevilla slash £20m off his valuation.
The centre-half is on the Red Devils radar as they consider their options this summer.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has scouted Kounde and would've had to pay £70m to secure his services.
But the La Liga outfit are now ready to accept offers of around £50m, reports the Sun.
The former Bordeaux defender has played a starring role this term with Sevilla occupying a Champions League spot in La Liga.
The Frenchman played in his side's Europa League semi-final win over United last season en route to winning the competition.
He was close to a Manchester City switch last summer before the deal collapsed late in the day.
United are now viewing him as partner for Harry Maguire as doubts continue over the likes of Victor Lindelof and Eric Bailly.
Kounde has a £70,000-a-week contract that runs until 2024, but the Red Devils are ready to double his wages.
The Sevilla star is one of several players on the club's shortlist as they seek new faces in the summer.
Real Madrid's Raphael Varane could quit the Bernabeu and has been linked with an Old Trafford switch.
Brighton's Ben White is another player who has been touted as a potential signing.
Former United man Gary Neville claimed recently that the Red Devils will not win the title until they recruit a top quality centre-half.
“We can talk about Sancho all we like but until United get a centre back who can run and defend one-on-ones they are never going to win the league,” he told Sky Sports.
“They are never going to win the Premier League with that centre back pairing.
"They have to get a mobile, dominant centre half in alongside either Lindelof or Maguire.”

Why always talking about looking for a partner for Maguire?? when he is actually the worst CB behind Baily in performance. I think Man Utd is a low key racist football club. They don't like seeing black players being dominant or leading the squad. If Ole were honest with himself without being biased Baily ought to be an automatic starter ahead of Lindelof and Maguire if not for the series of injuries hes picked up.

You ain't far from the fact bro but one thing for sure, never you build the pavota parts of your team around African player's. .we are mostly there for the money even if we can admits it.naturally the Africans players has the God given gifts if the game but money will always be the dominant fact for us.Eric Bailly seem to be more comfortable with his position in the club.coming in and out provided the wages stay put. he's not hungry to be undisputed starter, he's just fine with his position. if I'm lying ask him[Crylaugh] .
my own opinion, Harry Maguire is a very good defender with ball.very confident with carrying the ball from the back just like Rio Ferdinand. all we needs is that no nonsense, well position and all round physical defender to pair with him.and my pick remain koulibally or Raphael Varane

So racist... With AWB and Pogba and Rashford and Greenwood and Martial all regular starters. Don't call racism when it's not justified. It makes it easier to dismiss it when it is justified and specially in more subtle and complicated cases it allows cultural conservatives to say "oh you just make everything about race" and these are the majority of people we have to try and educate. Maguire is actually a really good defender, he just makes really bad mistakes occasionally so he looks worse than he is. Our goals conceded over the 2nd half of this season is actually really good. I would say though that Bailly would be a better partner for him than Lindejof because of his speed and athleticism and he's a solid defender but his injury problems are stopping him from nailing down a spot. But please don't call racism unnecessarily, it detracts from actual racism issues.
