Manchester United are closing on a deal for Red Bull Salzburg midfielder Maurits Kjaergaard.
The 19 year-old Dane has attracted interest from across Europe this season, with AC Milan particularly keen.
However, local newspaper Salzburger Nachrichten reports United are set to win the battle for Kjaergaard. Talks are now underway between the two cubs.
Kjaergaard has a contract with Red Bull Salzburg until the summer of 2026.
He has has two goals and nine assists in 32 games this season.

I haven't heard of him. I hope the scouts have done their job and Erik wants him because he sees how he can mould him. As a 19 year old, is he better than Zidane Iqbal, Charlie Savage and Kobbie Mainoo? If not, I don't want him and would prefer our academy kids get the chance instead
