Jaap Stam reckons Jadon Sancho's loan switch from Manchester United to Borussia Dortmund is the best outcome for all parties - but could lead to awkward questions for Erik ten Hag.
Sancho, frozen out by Ten Hag back in September after publicly calling into question his manager's integrity, has returned to former club Dortmund for the rest of the season. Former United defender Stam claimed Sancho was desperate to return to his old club, having failed to make the desired impact at Old Trafford following his £73million move in 2021.
“I think it's better for everyone that Jadon Sancho is back at Dortmund,” said Stam. “He probably did everything he could to leave United, because that's how these things go when a player is not happy. It seems like he did everything to make this move away.
"You know, sometimes, when a player is not happy and he's doing things that you're not happy with, don't give him anything, just let him play with the under-23s or whatever, all season.
“But then that's not good for the under-23s, it's not good for the club and it means he stays. That's not good for the first-team, because he's got friends within the squad and that doesn't help things for the manager.
“The club needed to make the decision to let him play his football somewhere else. It's good for the manager, because it means he's not going to be asked the same questions about the player.
“Although, of course, if he goes and does well in Dortmund, I'm sure people will then ask the manager why he allowed the player to leave.
“But I think it's better for all parties that he moved on. It's better for everyone that he left, I think.”

Bro, I get what you’re saying, it’s you that doesn’t get mine. I’m not talking about his playing time or whatnot. I’m talking about his attitude. All I’m saying is, if he’s that bad with his “attitude”, why would Dortmund recalled him?
If you get what I wrote earlier, you won’t be asking me this. Sancho hasn’t been playing. United wants to get rid of him… Dortmund swoops in to take advantage of the situation. They have nothing to lose, if sancho doesn’t step up, he goes back to sitting on the bench. That was why the coach was quick to praise his IMPROVED attitude towards coming to training early and all, which wasn’t there before. Dortmund taking sancho was a free risk. They are not even paying more than 1/3 of his salary. So why not??

Nobody said he’s not talented. And the coach admitted they’ve had issues before. So what’s your question? And also, read my previous reply again.

Dude, Sancho isn’t playing at united, United need him to get game time so his value can go up when they want to sell him. Secondly, Dortmund are virtually not losing anything. United is still covering the major part of his salary. So they stand to gain a lot… Thirdly, Dortmund now have an extra manpower without spending in the transfer market. Does it make sense to you now?

If he’s had the same issues at Dortmund, if he’s that bad guy. Why would Dortmund signed him back? Use your head.

the manager failed his players by going public speaking negative, in spite of what the issue is. It's an in-house issue, not public. Ten hag is to blame.

Sancho failed himself he was pampered too much by Ten Hag, in appreciation what does he do , he shows no respect for the person trying to help him achieve his goals as a player good ridency now that he's gone to a club that doesn't know that late coming is a disciplinary issue
