Manchester United would be willing to sell Antony as part of a brutal fire sale under Sir Jim Ratcliffe.
The Brazilian winger signed for the Red Devils in summer 2022 for £86m from Ajax but has failed to match expectations. He has scored just nine goals in 70 appearances for the club, while his minutes have also dried up over recent weeks.
After Ratcliffe was officially handed control of United’s football operations, he has already put the wheels in motion on the club’s transfer business. The INEOS owner has up to ten sales planned - with Antony on the chopping block. However, it is highly unlikely that the Red Devils will be able to earn anywhere near the £86m fee they spent on him, with Mail Online suggest that the club would struggle to even get half of that.
Antony has over three years left on the contract that he signed when moving from Ajax. The 24-year-old has recently fallen out of favour under Erik ten Hag.
The United boss recently warned Antony over his form. Asked why Omari Forson started over the Brazilian against Fulham, the Dutchman replied: “It was nothing to do with fitness. He is fit but we have many options on the right side where we lack in other positions due to injuries.
“The form Antony is in we all have seen and he has to step up. I see it in training, but also Omari [Forson] and Amad Diallo and Garnacho deserve to play.”
Ten Hag had also suggested that others had simply moved ahead of Antony in the pecking order. Speaking ahead of the defeat against Fulham, he said: “He has to prove a point, that he will do.
“And he has big potential. He hasn’t shown it lately, but I know what his talent is, and it’s about proving his talent, and it’s about him. And, yeah, he will probably get his opportunities, right? But, yeah, I think that was always the idea.
"You have competition, and now he has to show himself on the training pitch, but also others because we have opportunities there. With [Amad] Diallo returning from an injury, he’s doing well in the training. Omari Forson is doing well. So we have options to fill in those positions. And it’s not set that Marcus Rashford has to play as a centre forward."
Antony is not the only underperforming star who could leave Old Trafford before long. As part of Ratcliffe’s dramatic rebuild, Jadon Sancho, Casemiro, Donny van De Beek, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Victor Lindelof have all been earmarked for possible exits ahead of next season.

Sometimes too much negative criticism can lower a player's motivation of playing his best, some players can really be distracted of that, instead we should also motivate or encourage a player to move on, no matter the challenge. Pls, managers, sponsors, and mainly fans should look into this. Some players are very skillful, but distraction can really bring them down, pls work as team, and give helping hands to move forward - to u team mates. 🤔
Antony is jus too bad.

Better to take the financial loss than to keep paying a useless player...doesn't make sense and do justice to the rest of the hardworking players at all...same goes for Rashford!
