Manchester United have put a £150million price tag on their star midfielder Paul Pogba, but Real Madrid are not giving up that easily.

Pogba endured a difficult start to last season before enjoying a brief upsurge when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took the reins in December.

However he remains unsettled in Manchester and earlier this month confessed it might be time for a new challenge away from Old Trafford.

Fellow Frenchman Zinedine Zidane, who was reappointed as Los Blancos boss last season, is reportedly keen on recruiting the midfielder despite splashing a staggering £344million on five players already this summer.

The Mirror report that United have slapped a princely £150m price tag on the midfielder in order to stave off Madrid, who are hoping to bounce back from an underwhelming campaign last year.

But they claim that Zidane is pleading with Madrid chief Florentino Perez to splash out once again to land another Galactico, following the signing of Eden Hazard from Chelsea.
