Man United stars are reportedly furious with Ruben Amorim but are not yet close enough to their manager to air their grievances with him.
The pressure valve was released a little at Old Trafford after Wednesday's 3-2 win over Ipswich dragged Man United up to 14th in the Premier League table.
But, off the pitch, it has been another dire week for the club. On Monday, chief executive Omar Berrada confirmed that up to 200 members of staff could lose their jobs.
After that news broke, Amorim pointed the finger at his players, saying their failure to qualify for the Champions League and their poor Premier League form had led to the cuts.
'We have to address all the problems in the club, but one important piece of this moment is to understand how we get to this situation,' Amorim said.
‘It has a lot to do with the lack of success of the football team because we are the engine of any football club.'
Now, The Sun are reporting that those comments have caused disharmony in the Man United dressing room.
A source told The Sun: 'If you went into Carrington you would think the players and Amorim are getting on great.
'But the truth is the players are frustrated for being blamed for the financial problems of the club.
'However they haven’t challenged the manager as they haven’t yet formed a bond with him.
“He is clear in what he wants from them on the pitch, and they are trying to implement it.
'But while some of them are fully behind his tactics, they feel that they cannot speak up as Amorim is steadfast in what he wants.
'They are doing what they are told, whether they think its right or not... the players feel like they can't show any displeasure or it will become a problem.'
The source added that captain Bruno Fernandes is one those who are closest to Amorim and had been used as a conduit between the boss and his players.
After Wednesday 10-man victory over Ipswich, Fernandes hinted that he and his team-mates have doubts over their manager's tactics.
Speaking to TNT Sport after the match, Fernandes said: 'Me and H (Maguire) have been here for a while already, so we know we have to stick with what we've been training, what we've been trying to do, what we're supposed to do.
'You could feel in moments it's not working but for some reason the manager wants us to do that.
'If he wants us to do that, they (the opposition) watches us for many games and prepare themselves.
'We have a big staff, not just his ones but the ones that are already here. We have great people behind the team to try to work on that so if they do that in the right way, we just have to come on the pitch and show it.'
Fernandes and Co will have their next chance to do just that when Man United host Fulham in Saturday's FA Cup fifth-round clash.

I’ve supported this club for over sixty years and I still think it’s on the ropes on and off the field. This squad of players don’t have a clue what it means to wear the shirt of this great club. It’s like being back in the seventies when we were used to winning a game here and there and losing a couple it’s just not acceptable how it is . The money these players are earning is on ridiculously crazy for being lazy.

If this report is true, then, I think this United crop of senior players are completely useless. Think of how many managers have been sacked, due to players disagreeing with manager's tactics. Players now want to play and at the same time, coach themselves because they feel they know more than the coaches recruited to manage the team. Stupidity.

Tell Amorim to shut up noisy. Which of the players has he transformed since taking over the managerial position? Not even one single player, Bruno Fernandes is genuine and captain fantastic we see all the time. Poor formation and tactics, poor substitutions and poor attitude off the pitch. He should stick to improve on the league ladder. Incompetence everywhere.

There's no problem with players who is currently playing for Manchester United, Nor the Coach but the truth is that Manchester United is under a predicament or if not so it is a curse because once the players leave they start performing well so no need of beaten around the bush say the truth and leave it there
