Manchester United have already made three summer signings and have their sights set on further additions ahead of the new Premier League season

Michael Carrick's Manchester United midfield has been shaken up this summer. But new signings Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans are sure to be followed through the door.

After beginning last season in dire fashion under Ruben Amorim, United's fortunes were turned around by Carrick and Champions League football is on the agenda next term.

Therefore, the club have begun bolstering their squad. Goalkeeper Karl Darlow has signed on a free transfer following his exit from Leeds United, and both Santos and Tielemans have joined from Chelsea and Aston Villa, respectively.

Reports suggest United are in the market for at least one more midfielder, though, and developments regarding Morgan Rogers could prompt them to act spectacularly. Mirror Football brings you the latest transfer updates from Old Trafford.

Morgan Rogers silence

Aston Villa star Rogers' future has already been the subject of much discussion this summer, and with England now out of the World Cup, speculation will only ramp up.

The 23-year-old is reportedly of interest to Arsenal, but Villa's astronomical £130million rumoured asking price has so far put a stop to any deal. However, a report from Football Insider claims that Villa are staying extremely coy about the possibility of Rogers having a release clause hidden in his current contract.

Both new United signing Tielemans and the PSG-bound Lucas Digne have had their respective clauses activated this summer, but Villa will not confirm whether Rogers also has one in his deal.

Should he have a clause, it would be difficult for Villa to stop him leaving, and a handful of other suitors could soon descend alongside the Gunners, United included.

Marcus Rashford clause expires

One star who did have a clause in their contract is United's Marcus Rashford. The 28-year-old spent last season on loan with Barcelona, but they opted not to activate the £26m purchase option included in that agreement.

Instead, Rashford has found himself in limbo, with Barcelona signing Anthony Gordon, who plays the same position as his England team-mate, for £70m in May.

An exit clause that could have been activated for £40m was present in his United contract, with only Manchester City and Liverpool unable to trigger it. But The Athletic now claims that this expired on July 15, meaning any transfer will now have to be negotiated.
