Manchester United host Chelsea in their Premier League opener at Old Trafford on Sunday, in a battle of the two most successful sides of the Premier League-era.

Both teams will be full of optimism ahead of the new campaign, but which players would make a combined XI?
Ahead of this weekend’s clash, here is All Football’s combined Manchester United and Chelsea XI…

Goalkeeper
David De Gea's mistakes last season did bring in some doubts against him, but if he returns to his best on Sunday there are very few keepers capable of rivalling him, not even the most expensive keeper Kepa.
Defenders
Aaron Wan-Bissaka is truly a promising talent but Cesar Azpilicueta, who has played in the Premier League for seven seasons, should be more experienced than the Man Utd starlet.
Man Utd's new signing, the world's most expensive centre-back Harry Maguire, surely have a spot in the XI.
There was supposed to be a spot for Antonio Rudiger but his injury has ruled him out of the clash and our combined XI. Victor Lindelof takes his place.
As for the left-back, Luke Shaw stands above the rest, with the 23-year-old currently in the form of his life.
Midfielders
Both sides, it could hardly be argued, possess one midfielder belonging to the 'world-class' category, and they happen to be France teammates and fellow World Cup winners.
The battle between Paul Pogba and N'Golo Kante is always a key one when these two sides meet, and each player has a different but equally crucial role to play on Sunday.
The third spot ought to go to Ross Barkley, who is yet to fully bloom for Chelsea but whose capacity to bend games to his will should never be forgotten.
And we give an attacking midfield spot to Christain Pulisic, who is going to use his skills and pace to try to fill the void of Eden Hazard at Chelsea.
Forwards
Anthony Martial, who has been reinstated as Man Utd’s number nine ahead of the new season, beats ageing Pedro to grab a spot. The 23-year-old has produced glimpses of his undoubted ability but must deliver in big games.
And the final spot goes to Marcus Rashford, United’s main attacking threat with Romelu Lukaku left. If he can amend his often erratic finishing he could emerge as one of the Premier League’s best attacking threats

This should be combined 11 imo,It's dominated by Utd players but the game is going to be quite close just bcoz how poor our midfield is. Good luck for both Lampard and Ole in their managerial career, hopefully we start the campaign with the win.

The most biased combined XI. We had more players in last year and deservedly so as we finished 3 places above them. How the heck does the combined XI have more United players when the finished BELOW us.... here is my combined XI; Before you question Mason Mount being in there, just remember Frank's Derby beat United at home and Mount caused the most trouble that game. This is what the combined XI should be....

What a big game!! Both managers were once players of their current teams and the former manager of both teams will be one of the pundits for the match, amazing 😅😅
