Manchester United came from behind to beat Crystal Palace 2-1 in the Premier League to consolidate their place in the top four, as they look to qualify for the Champions League
Manchester United and Michael Carrick can now turn their attention to their upcoming five Premier League fixtures after securing victory against Crystal Palace this afternoon.
The Eagles seized the advantage after merely four minutes when Maxence Lacroix nodded home from a corner, with Oliver Glasner's outfit deserving of their lead going into the break. Nevertheless, Lacroix transformed from hero to villain when the Palace defender fouled Matheus Cunha inside the box shortly before the hour mark and received a straight red card.
Bruno Fernandes stepped forward to slot home from the penalty spot to draw United level. Carrick's team completed the turnaround with Fernandes switching to provider for Benjamin Sesko, whipping in a superb cross for the Slovenian who hammered the ball into the back of the net with an outstanding header.
United managed to hold on for victory and extend their unbeaten streak under the interim head coach, climbing to third on goal difference.
