Leonardo Bonucci has reportedly turned down a move to Manchester City, with the experienced defender eager to stay in Turin, according to Sky Sport Italia via Football Italia.
The 33-year-old is reportedly a target of Pep Guardiola's, and is regarded as one of the top defenders in Europe with his outstanding performances for Juve season on season.
City are in the market for defensive players to bolster Guardiola's options at the back, and the Citizens have already signed Bournemouth defender Nathan Ake for £40m this summer.
And according to the Italian outlet, City have asked about the Italy international, however the veteran defender wants to stay with the Serie A champions and has no intention of leaving.
Bonucci's contract runs until June 2024, and he plans on sticking around to extend his trophy collection with the club. He has played 407 games for the Old Lady, winning Serie A eight times as well as three Coppa Italias.
Meanwhile, City have been linked with a sensational swoop for Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi after the Argentine shocked world football and handed in a transfer request earlier this week.
City could land the 33-year-old on a free transfer as a result of a clause in Messi's contract, although Barcelona will look for a huge fee for their greatest ever player.
Inter Milan and PSG are also in contention to land the Argentine, although City appear to be at the front of the queue as a result of Messi's relationship with former Barcelona boss Guardiola.
