Manchester City have set an £80m price-tag on midfielder Bernardo Silva amid interest from Barcelona over a summer move, according to Mundo Deportivo.
The Portuguese international is regarded as a 'priority' transfer by the Catalan club - who are looking at signing Silva for the second successive summer.
However, the Premier League champions are not willing to part ways with the 27-year-old unless for the right price - despite assuring Silva he'd be able to leave the club this window.
According to the Spanish outlet, Silva's agent Jorge Mendes was in Barcelona having dinner with Joan Laporta, Rafa Yuste, Mateu Alemany and Jordi Cruyff to learn about the club's intentions regarding his possible signing.
It's reported that Pep Guardiola has a verbal agreement with the Portugal star to allow him to leave the Etihad this summer, as long as a good offer arrives.
But the Citizens have valued Silva at £80m (€94m) ahead of the transfer window - which could prove an issue with Barcelona's available finances being dictated by their incomings and outgoings in the market.
Xavi's side are waiting to know how much they could get for midfielder Frenkie de Jong, who's been linked with a move to Man United, as they would otherwise not be able to exceed €70m for Silva due to their delicate economic situation.
The former Monaco midfielder has enjoyed a scintillating career in Manchester having won the Premier League title in four out of his five seasons there.
Silva's high valuation comes as no surprise after gradually becoming one of City's most reliable players - contributing 48 goals and 51 assists in 251 games for Guardiola's side.
Despite Barca recently being boosted by the £235m naming rights deal with Spotify, the Catalan side are still struggling economically after years of financial mismanagement and will need to offload players this summer.

Nonsense if a 80M for a player who is in his prime is too much then what about Grealish... Let's be honest here we are talking about a player who made the Season Best XI in EPL and the so called De Jong didn't
Son, no one will ever pay such a big sum for a mid fielder. From Grealish, you'll expect goals and assists and attacking runs. But a midfielder can't guarantee all that on a regular basis

30 mil + dejong? are you nuts? De Jong is atleast 70 himself. A 100 mil for Bernardo is too much, 60-65 will be realistic figure

I will rather prefer city ask for 30mil plus de Jong since they don't need him will be a good business if Benando is to live to barca
