The Manchester City players and coaching staff went through a terrifying experience as their plane couldn't land at Manchester Airport on their way back from Lisbon.
The Sky Blues grabbed a comfortable 5-0 victory away at Sporting CP on Tuesday night in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie.
Their return to Manchester was planned for Wednesday, but high winds caused by Storm Dudley prevented the Boeing 757 G-ZAPX from landing at Manchester Airport, so the plane had to take a detour and land at the Liverpool John Lennon Airport instead.
"We can confirm the plane transporting the first team home from Lisbon has landed safely in Liverpool, after high winds forced a diversion from Manchester," read a post by Manchester City on Twitter.
Next up for Manchester City, they host Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on Saturday evening.

I saw somewhere some Liverpool fans were happy this happened to city players. One fan was even saying he wish the plane crashed. I wonder the kind of society that produce this disgraced kind of people. Football have spoilt by hate and ignorance via this kind of guys.
