Erik ten Hag will be without Cristiano Ronaldo for Manchester United’s trip to Fulham.
Manchester United will be hoping to bounce back in London after suffering a 3-1 defeat against Unai Emery’s Aston Villa last Sunday. Erik ten Hag’s side recorded a 4-2 victory over the same side in the Carabao Cup on Thursday night thanks to goals from Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford, Bruno Fernandes and Scott McTominay. United will be confident going into Sunday’s clash having won their last five away matches against Fulham in all competitions.
Cristiano Ronaldo is out for United’s final game before the World Cup. The Portuguese forward missed the club’s Carabao Cup win over Aston Villa on Thursday through illness, and has not travelled to London with the rest of the squad ahead of Sunday’s Premier League fixture.
Diogo Dalot is suspended for United, and with Aaron Wan-Bissaka absent, Victor Lindelof could start at right-back. Jadon Sancho and Antony will also miss the trip to Craven Cottage. The latter has missed United’s last four games due to a muscular injury.
Raphael Varane, who has been called up up the France World Cup despite being injured in the club’s 1-1 draw against Chelsea in October, remains on the sidelines.
Fulham currently sit in ninth place in the Premier League table. Marco Silva’s side will be without the in-form Aleksandar Mitrovic, who has been ruled out with a foot problem. Mitrovic will undergo medical tests next week as he battles to be fit for the start of Serbia’s World Cup campaign in Qatar.
