Welcome to the latest Manchester United Q&A with MEN's senior football writer Tyrone Marshall.
United are on the up since their Manchester derby mauling on October 2. Erik ten Hag's men are unbeaten in their last seven games in all competitions and sit fifth in the Premier League table while rivals Chelsea and Liverpool have struggled. The Red Devils' last three League results have given fans a real sense of optimism: a last-gasp 1-1 draw at Chelsea felt more like a win, while home victories over Tottenham (2-0) and West Ham (1-0) stirred memories of Old Trafford as a fortress.
While there is cause for optimism, key questions remain. Is a top-four finish realistic, or is the squad still short of quality? And that brings us to the January transfer window... Cristiano Ronaldo is back after being fined and dropped after refusing to come on vs Spurs, but his future remains uncertain. With Ten Hag seeking a new striker, is the timing right for Ronaldo to exit?
David de Gea was superb against West Ham, but his role is also in doubt as United mull over whether to extend his contract with question marks over his ability to be the ball-playing goalkeeper Ten Hag demands. Elsewhere, has Diogo Dalot answered United's search for a long-term right-back? And were you convinced by Harry Maguire's return at the weekend, or does Ten Hag need another centre-back given Raphael Varane's injury problems?
Further up the pitch, has Marcus Rashford finally turned a corner and proven himself capable of regularly starting up front? And is time running out for Jadon Sancho to justify his £73million transfer fee?

the best thing for MU right now is to let CR7 move. he is selfish and may be it 'll toxic for all they have. otherwise the overrated player Sancho and Anthony need time and maturiry to fit for what they expect from them. they stand out for the futur not the present.
