Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho has the perfect chance to get over his omission from England's World Cup squad under Erik ten Hag, as long as he takes the advice of his former manager.
Following his arrival from Borussia Dortmund last term, Sancho had a debut season to forget. He struggled to adapt from the Bundesliga to the Premier League, as he fell short of the expectations that many had pinned on his young shoulders.
Having arrived at Old Trafford nearly 18 months ago, many saw this campaign as the opportunity for the England international to make his breakthrough. However, the 22-year-old has so far managed to score just three goals in 14 appearances in all competitions for Erik ten Hag's side.
Sancho's poor form has led to him being left out of Gareth Southgate's Three Lions squad, as fans poured in with messages of support following his decision to take a break from social media. The United No. 25 has featured on 23 occasions for his country, but was one of several England players that reached the Euro 2020 final last year to be omitted from the travelling party to Qatar.
Former manager Ralf Rangnick was in charge for the conclusion of Sancho's debut season in the Premier League, and the German detailed exactly what the winger had to do in order to rediscover the talent that so many people know he has.
Speaking in January, Rangnick said: "It's a different league and he is playing for one of the biggest clubs in the world. It's also got to do with a lot of the things up in his head.
"It's different if you come as an 18-year-old, an unknown talented English boy to Borussia Dortmund. From then on, you can only improve, you can only make a success out of that, the level of expectation was a lot lower compared to situation where you come to a club like Manchester United for a high transfer fee.
"Everyone expected that he would [immediately] be one of the best players in the team. This is psychologically and emotionally a more challenging situation than the one at Borussia Dortmund.
"These are exactly the kind of steps that he has to make to become a top player for the next 10 years at this club. We can give guidelines, we can give him a helping hand and show him that we are trying to accompany him - and give him all the necessary assistance that he needs - but in the end it's up to him to take the next steps."
With Ten Hag looking to implement his philosophy at the club, Sancho has been presented the perfect chance to remind everyone just how good he can be. He may well have to do the work himself as Rangnick suggests, but he finally has the right manager and system in place to give him the best possible chance to recreate the destructive form he showed for the Black and Yellows at Old Trafford this season.

This guy will come back stronger like how Salah and De brut be proved Chelsea fc wrong. I always have believed in him and Rashford if they have a good nō 2 and 3 players with good number 9 to link up with.

Honestly speaking. Is this sancho still playing or he has Injury because it’s taking so long for him to recover and if he doesn’t recover quickly someone else will take his place and he won’t be able to have a place in the Starting 11. I wish him well

Bro he’s gonna be the next goat. After CR7 criticized these young players in the interview, Sancho might have got it as his time to give it all. By doing that he deleted his ig pics. He probably will want to get off social media. So he can focus on training in this break. To my surprise he might actually fight for his place.
