Manchester United beat Nottingham Forest with goals from Antony and Dalot

Antony scored a goal and provided an assist for Dalot to help United beat Forest.

Manchester United beat Nottingham Forest with a fine display on Sunday to strengthen their grip on the Champions League places in the Premier League.

Erik ten Hag’s side outclassed Forest at the City Ground, making it three wins from three in Nottingham, to move into third in the table.

Antony scored his first Premier League goal since October to give United the lead. The Brazilian winger did brilliantly to tee up Diogo Dalot, who made it 2-0 and keep Forest in the bottom three of the Premier League for now.

Man of the match Bruno Fernandes was instrumental on the day, and could have had a goal of his own but Keylor Navas managed to keep the Portuguese playmaker out.

United take advantage of Newcastle’s defeat to Aston Villa to reclaim third place, a position they will aim to hold on to until the end of May.
