Manchester United fans deliver emphatic Neymar transfer verdict

A number of Manchester United supporters have made it clear that they would not be interested in the club bringing Neymar to Old Trafford this summer amid reports that Paris Saint-Germain are prepared to offload him.

It has been reported in Spain that PSG are ready to cut ties with the Brazilian this summer and are prepared to listen to offers of around €50million (£42.9m). His former club, Barcelona, have already been credited with interest in his services and it is claimed that the Camp Nou outfit is the only club that he would consider joining.

Neymar, who will be hoping to help Brazil win their first World Cup since 2002 in Qatar later this year, joined PSG from Barcelona in August 2017 for an eye-watering figure of £200million. He has won 11 trophies since making the switch to the French capital.

But despite scoring 13 goals and grabbing eight assists in just 28 matches in all competitions during the 2021/22 campaign, the 30-year-old spent a large portion of the season on the sidelines with an ankle injury. He has lost his way in recent months and not hit the standards expected of him often enough.

It is why, therefore, PSG are considering the prospect of offloading him this summer. The reported fee of €50million would mean that the club would have to suffer a huge financial loss on their investment, but it appears as though Barcelona are keen on the idea of taking him back to the Camp Nou.

News of the Brazilian reportedly being available has sparked a discussion among United's supporters on social media, with one fan suggesting that he could be a cheaper option than current Reds transfer target Antony. However, that suggestion went down like a lead balloon, with no shortage of supporters making it clear that they do not want United to turn to the PSG ace this summer.
