These are your Manchester United evening headlines for Sunday, October 16.
Several Manchester United supporters felt Cristiano Ronaldo was denied a legitimate goal less than five minutes into the start of the second half of Sunday's Premier League clash with Newcastle United.
After a dire first-half showing from Erik ten Hag's side, in which they were lucky to head back to the dressing room with the scores still level at 0-0, they thought they had got their noses in front just three minutes after the restart. Newcastle were awarded a free-kick just outside their own penalty area and Ronaldo thought the visitors had taken it quickly when it was rolled back to goalkeeper Nick Pope.
He robbed the ball from the toes of Pope, ran into the penalty area and rolled the ball into an unguarded net. However, the Portuguese star was quickly denied what he thought was the 701st goal of his club career by referee Craig Pawson.
On his 500th appearance, he demonstrated why he could struggle to make it to 600 with some shoddy distribution. Irked the crowd. 5
Off the pace and, as the only outfield player to have started every game, possibly overplayed. Mildly improved in the second-half. 6
One of the handful of players who looked affronted by Newcastle riding roughshod over United. Led the backline well again. 7

You're akward, you watch a game where he didn't play well and you still think the same imao. If chances were not created by mid how will the striker play? that's the reason I'm saying even though you put Halland he still won't score
It wasn't about whether he did good or bad, it was about fans using others as scapegoats, it's happened multiple times. When the rest of the team does bad then I can understand Ronaldo doing bad but in this match, Ronaldo wasn't so innocent.

Im sure they've created chances. Im pretty sure that's just fans scapegoating for Ronaldo. One time I heard Ronaldo fans say how the team couldn't create chances in one match, I turn on the TV to watch the match and in the first few minutes I see Ronaldo get two chances he couldn't put in.

They didn't play awful, but the attack just couldn't score today. I don't wanna sound like Im hating so I'll just say he was probably the most useless player on the pitch rather than "worst". That may or may not be his fault, but I also don't like fans always using the other players as scapegoats by saying "These guys can't create for him". It's the same thing I've been hearing for a long time in multiple teams whenever Ronaldo has a bad game.

Forget about CR7, who is even good in man United squad? If you put Halland in this current man United squad he still won't score.

All football shows you biases against Cristiano! What happened to the other squad members! They sucked. They fail to organize a cohesive stack and find the right player to score, it’s a boring game? Why don’t you hi light the lack of production fro the other maga stars?🤣🤣🤡🤡

The Match Is Over.., Both Teams Have Chances To Score And Win The Match. Two Halves Of Different Stories.., Newcastle Should Be Leading At Half-time.., United Should Have Won It The 2nd. Let's Both Move On.
