Manchester United fans organised a protest against the club owners, the Glazer family, ahead of the Red Devils' 3-2 win over Norwich City at Old Trafford on Saturday.
Last season, fan protests forced the postponement of the match between Manchester United and Liverpool, as supporters blocked the arrival of the buses before breaking into Old Trafford and taking to the pitch. That protest against the owners came after it was announced that Manchester United would form part of the Super League project, before the club pulled out.
Now, there are fresh protests. On Friday, two dozen fans gathered outside their training centre in Carrington to hold a small and peaceful protest, before the well-known group of fans 'The 1958' organised a protest on Saturday ahead of the Norwich clash.
There were red flares and chants against the owners, while the group stayed outside the Manchester United ground for the first 17 minutes of the game, with that number chosen because of the 17 years of the Glazer family's ownership. They then moved the protests inside Old Trafford.
