Manchester United get Goncalo Ramos transfer 'boost' and other transfer rumours

Manchester United have reportedly been boosted in their attempts to sign Benfica striker Goncalo Ramos.

Last season, Ramos was overshadowed by new Liverpool signing Darwin Nunez as the Uruguayan earned his move to the Premier League. However, the 21-year-old Portuguese centre-forward has stepped up to the plate this campaign with eight goals in just 12 appearances in all competitions.

This form is believed to have draw the attention of United and they reportedly will not have to worry about interest from Bayern Munich. According to Kicker, the German giants 'no longer hold an interest' in Ramos despite his fine displays in Portugal.

Recent reports have suggested Erik ten Hag has decided Ramos is the forward he wants to bring in to replace Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, whose contract expires at the end of the season having already told the club he wanted to leave in the summer in order to play Champions League football. football.london reports that Chelsea have the transfer advantage over Manchester United in the race to sign Caicedo. The Ecuadorian Brighton midfielder has repeatedly been linked with a move to Old Trafford as Erik ten Hag looks to reinforce the club's problematic area in the centre of the pitch.

And while Chelsea brought in Denis Zakaria on a season-long loan deal from Juventus on transfer deadline day, it appears they could look to continue adding fresh faces in midfield. football.london claims that they could turn to Caicedo, with newly-appointed manager Graham Potter potentially using his "links at Brighton and his relationship with Caicedo to try and move for him when the January transfer window rolls around".
