Manchester United kids including Rashford celebrate during Dubai training camp

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer made his name at Manchester United in a team filled with young players - and it seems like he might have some talented kids to call on as manager too.

On Wednesday, United shared a photo of the day's 'winning team' from the final day of their training camp in Dubai, with goalkeeper David de Gea the only player over the age of 23.

First team players Marcus Rashford, 21, Scott McTominay, 22, Diogo Dalot, 19, and Andreas Pereira, 23, were also part of the victorious side, who were pictured celebrating after winning a mini tournament at Nad Al Sheba Sports Complex.

But it was four of the other faces which will have been of most interest to United fans, and perhaps Solskjaer himself, as United look to the future following a dismal period under former boss Jose Mourinho.

Academy products James Garner, 17, Angel Gomes, 18, Mason Greenwood, 17, and Tahith Chong, 19, were all part of the side who came out on top on Wednesday.

Solskjaer deemed the quartet worthy of the trip to the Middle East, despite them having just a handful of senior appearances between them.

Meanwhile, United coach Michael Carrick has been delighted with the opportunity for Solskjaer to work with his squad in Dubai over the last four days.

United jetted off immediately after their 2-0 FA Cup victory Reading on Saturday in a bid to prepare for this weekend's huge trip to Tottenham in the Premier League.

'It's fantastic. It allows us to train in a way where you probably can't do it at home, at this moment, with it being so cold,' said Carrick.

'We can work on different things. When it's freezing cold at home, you've got to keep on the move and you don't want the lads standing around too much.

'So here we'll work hard, especially over the next few days, and prepare for Sunday, but it allows us to maybe spend a little bit more time on the training ground and go into a little bit more detail, which we need at this moment.

'As you can imagine, it's quite a happy camp. When you're winning football matches, you can't put a price on the feeling that gives you, and the confidence and the belief.

'You almost sense a calmness when you're winning games. It's great to see the lads enjoying themselves. The football's flowing, the training's good, they're bouncing around the place, and it's nice to see.'
