Manchester United have approached Leicester City over the sale of their England centre-back Harry Maguire, according to Sky Sports News.
However, with a fortnight of the summer transfer window remaining, it looks like Jose Mourinho will have a battle on his hands, with Leicester adamant their star defender is staying at the King Power Stadium.
We understand United value the player, who starred in England's summer World Cup campaign, at around £65m.
Maguire is due to return from holiday in the next few days and is understood to be keen to make the move to Old Trafford.
However, Leicester have already lost Riyad Mahrez in this window and Sky Sports News has been told Maguire is not for sale and will not be leaving the club this window.
Maguire won Leicester's Player of the Year award after an outstanding first season at the club and still has four years left on his current deal, having joined from Hull for £17m last summer.

Sign new center back almost every year, but when the season starts, you will find the starting are still Jones and Smalling[Sadtolook]

United should go for Toby. They already have plenty of CBs and even though I think Maguire is better than all of them (or at least with the exception of Bailly, maybe), they need an exceptional one to not be mediocre. They REALLY need to look at a left back as well if they wish to compete for the title. They have the money to do this, I just wish Arsenal could do it as well :(

Maguire showed a lot of qualities in the world cup and he showed that he is the type of player that old Trafford needs. But Leicester city will not want to sell him after they just sold Mahrez.filling the voids will become more difficults. And Leicester city will want to do well next season.
