Manchester United transfer chiefs are reportedly cautious over pursuing a deal for Harry Kane due to the expected difficulties that Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy would cause.
The Spurs talisman is expected to leave the club at the end of the season with just 12 months left on his deal and is reportedly wanted by Man United manager Erik ten Hag.
Ten Hag is in the market for a new striker after being forced to rely on loanee forward Wout Weghorst upfront in the absence of Anthony Martial who has been hampered by injuries.
Pursuing Kane has been described as a 'nightmare' by ESPN, with suggestions that trying to secure one of the world's best players from a Premier League rival would be a complicated proposal.
Bringing Kane to Old Trafford would hand Ten Hag one of the Premier League's most potent strikers , with the England captain enjoying another brilliant season for the London club despite their struggles under Italian Antonio Conte.
The 29-year-old is second in this seasons Premier League goalscoring charts, eight behind leader Erling Haaand, but six strikes in front of the Red Devils best attacker Marcus Rashford.
Kane is eager to secure a first career piece of silverware after enduring another season of zero success at Tottenham, while United lifted their first trophy of a new era under Ten Hag with the Carabao Cup.
Levy has been a tough negotiator in the past and would likely demand a figure in excess of the £100m Man City previously paid for Jack Grealish.
There are some suggestions that the Spurs chief could demand a figure closer to £150m despite Kane being available to leave on a free transfer in 2024 if he refuses to sign a new deal at the club.
Ten Hag wants to have a new striker in place as soon as possible once the summer window opens as he targets a full pre-season with the player that would give him a chance to fully implement a new striker into his squad of superstars.
However, should they decide not to pursue any move for Kane then Victor Osimhen could be another potential target.
The Napoli forward is five years younger than his Spurs counterpart and would possibly require a similar fee but would likely represent easier negotiations given United wouldn't be dealing with a Premier League rival.

We need Kane.. osihmen is a good player but he is too expensive and also he has no premier league experiences I would prefer Kane if osihmen comes United all the pressure will be on him because he is too expensive..

I would forever osimhen to Kane.. Kane is older to osimhen, and Kane lately plays more of a Rooney type of football, more of a number 10 now not a striker... united really need an out and out #9 not something similar

osimhen is good but kane is far better than him in all so if we want to win a league we want a player like kane who has been in a league knowing da league not those players like Anthony,.Arsenal is doing great because all the new players were in the league last season look at Gabriel Jesus, torsard, zinchekoo, jorginho, etc

please leave Kane alone , he's an average player right now we young stars but Harry Kane will player a maximum of three seasons and he will be no where to seen in the pitch so think twice before you go for the players on market.
I want Osimhen but u can't in any way say Kane is average he's the best creative no 9 I can think of still playing

I have respect for Harry Kane. He is a brilliant striker, an amazing footballer. But for UTD, it seems Osimhen is the right signing for the summer, if they have to pay a similar amount of money.

English hype. Imagine the tag, one of the best In the world! if Osimen or Haaland, and Mbappe, are English players, I wonder what they would tag them. The players I mentioned are close to 🏆 winning trophies for their clubs due to their contributions and direct involvement
