Marcelo: I don't know about Juventus, I don't want to leave Real Madrid

With rumours swirling regarding his future, Marcelo has revealed that he doesn't want to leave Real Madrid, nor does he think the club will sell him.

Marcelo has come under pressure from new signing Ferland Mendy, who looks to have made the left back slot his own at the Estadio Santiago Bernaebeu.

"I don't want to leave and I don't think Real Madrid will sell me," Marcelo told Fabio Cannavaro in an Instagram chat.

"I have done very well at Madrid since arriving. It's been a long time and it's an incredible story.

"I do think it's good that other teams are interested in me, but I don't know about Juventus.

"Two years ago I had already signed with them [Juventus], and had their shirt on because I couldn't live without Cristiano Ronaldo.

"People make up a lot of things."

Looking at the current team, Marcelo had good things to say about Brazilian youngsters Rodrygo and Vinicius, as well as summer signing Eden Hazard.

"I think he [Hazard] has done well," Marcelo continued. "The injury he got was on the same leg as before, it was a shame but now he is going to come back.

"He is a top level player, the speed at which he does things is different to everyone else.

"Vinicius exploded onto the scene, he is incredible at dribbling and you can see that he played futsal with the speed, and the fact the ball is always stuck to his feet.

"He reminds me of Robinho, but with more speed.

"Rodrygo is calm, always very calm. It seems to me like he has been playing for 10 years. He is intelligent. I tell both [Vinicius and Rodrygo] to be calm and that their time will come, but right now to give the ball to [Karim] Benzema who will score the goals."

On the coronavirus outbreak, Marcelo revealed his daily routine, but did admit it was tough.

"I only go out once a day with my four dogs," the Brazilian continued. "People here are respecting the rules, but it has been very hard.

"I've learnt a lot about myself and what I can do, such as spending more time with my family, reading and doing meditation.

"Normally I don't stop for a minute, I'm always racing around, but I try to stop for a few minutes to think and relax."
