Marcus Rashford has been branded “bang average”, with Premier League clubs warned against signing him from Manchester United.
Rashford has been exiled by boss Ruben Amorim, with the striker missing from United's matchday squad for five of their last six games. United are open to offers for £40million-rated Rashford in this month's transfer window, although a loan move seems the likeliest option.
AC Milan, Borussia Dortmund and Paris Saint-Germain have all been linked with a move for Rashford, as have United's Premier League rivals Tottenham. But former Spurs and England winger Chris Waddle has delivered a scathing assessment of 27-year-old Rashford and warned his old club against moving for him.
“There's a lot of mind games going on with Marcus Rashford,” Waddle told Prime Casino. “I think there are a lot of doubts about his desire, his passion and his ambition.
“If he went to Tottenham and the fans were singing his name, would he be happy with that and think ‘That's it, I've arrived, I don't need to do that anymore.’
“Whoever gets him, they're going to get a player for six months. After that, can he keep that appetite and hunger to go on? Can he prove to everybody he should be playing left wing for England? To do that, he needs to be playing week-in, week-out for his club side.
“What is he doing at the minute? They said he was ill for the Liverpool game, not in the squad. No disrespect, but he's not young anymore. People keep talking as if he was 21. He's not.
“He's had an in and out career. He had that season where he scored loads of goals, but that's becoming a distant memory. He’s been bang average since.
"We all know he's got ability, but we’ve seen this story with so many players before. Players like Dele Alli, Ross Barkley, they come on the scene, burn brightly and then disappear.
“Both of those players were talked about as world-beaters when they were younger, and they couldn’t do it over the course of their careers. There are so many players who were tipped to become the next big thing, and it didn’t happen for them. The only person that can change it is Marcus.”
Waddle said Rashford, who has lost his England place as well as at United, must move as quickly as possible to resurrect his stalled career.
“I expect him to move on,” Waddle told Prime Casino. “He needs to move on from Manchester United. Whether it's a loan until the end of the season, whether it's permanent, he must think to himself ‘I've got to get away. I'm wasting time, I need to get in the England squad, I need to be playing, and I want to show everybody how good I can be.’"

I respect ur view but Rashford made us believe wen he scored those 30 goals it's just not easy to let a player like that go especially wen he promised Soo much
And that has been his best season to date since 2016…

This is what I’ve been saying… Remember Dele Ali, Barkley, Walcott, Lennon, Ashley young, Joe Cole, Sterling, Wright Philips, Adam Johnson, Wilshere, Carroll, Alan Smith, Eric Dyer, Sinclair, and the list is so long, these are players tipped to be the next big thing or at least make it to elite football level but they all fizzled off after a few good seasons or just 1 season. Rashford is joining this class soon but he doesn’t know it, just because MAN UTD is desperate for him to shine (so they can sell a story of the academy product who is now the star), throw heavy pay contracts at him and indulge his disrespecting attitude doesn’t mean he’s a big player, he’s average, he’s always been and I won’t be surprised if this will be his level and even drops much lower. He’s 27 now and will be 28 in a few months so…..

Rashford is fooling himself, thinking he has all the time in the world. He's 28 years old this year but still thinks he's very young
