Arsenal starlet Gabreiel Martinelli has revealed that Manchester United snubbed the chance to sign him after training with the Premier League giants four times between 2015 and 2017.
The Old Trafford side had reportedly been tracking the 18-year-old frontman alongside a host of other European clubs, and Martinelli made a number of trips from his native Brazil to train with United's youth team.
But after the Red Devils opted against snapping up the youngster, Arsenal later completed a move after fending off competition from Real Madrid and Barcelona.
When asked about his time with United, Martinelli said: 'Between 2015 and 2017 I went there four times and trained for about 15 days.
'I asked to take a picture with [Patrice] Evra, [Marouane] Fellaini and other guys.
'Pogba knew I was Brazilian and asked if everything was okay with me and where I was playing. We took a picture together.'
