Chelsea are set to overhaul their squad yet again this summer as Todd Boehly looks to sell a number of players to raise funds that can be reinvested in new signings

Mauricio Pochettino wants to sign a new goalkeeper, central midfielder and striker at Chelsea - if he is appointed. football.london understands Pochettino has held positive talks with the Blues despite an agreement not having been reached - yet.

A report from The Daily Mail suggests the 51-year-old manager would like to sign a new goalkeeper, central midfielder and striker if he is offered the Chelsea job. The report adds that the former Tottenham boss ideally wants to add players with Premier League pedigree and experience.

If Pochettino is appointed as Blues' head coach, which seems likely, he will join on the understanding that many players must be sold before he can bring in any new signings given the size of the senior squad. Chelsea had to expand their dressing room to accommodate their new arrivals with eight players signing for the west Londoners in January alone.

There is a desire to lower the wage bill at Stamford Bridge to help the club abide Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations after their huge transfer spend in the last 12 months. This could see the likes of Mason Mount, Hakim Ziyech, Christian Pulisic, Mateo Kovacic and Edouard Mendy all leave the club.
