Memphis Depay enjoys his first training session with Barcelona

Ronald Koeman finally has Memphis Depay on the training pitch after he passed a medical on Monday. The Dutchman was the talk of the morning session as he appeared at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper training complex, where Barcelona's players met for a double session on Tuesday.

Memphis, who will be officially unveiled on Thursday, worked with his new teammates for the first time in the morning, including the likes of Sergino Dest, Gerard Pique, Miralem Pjanic, Riqui Puig, Neto, Sergi Roberto, Samuel Umtiti and youth teamers Inaki Pena, Arnau Tenas, Alex Collado, Pablo Paez 'Gavi', Arnau Comas, Nico Gonzalez, Yusuf Demir, Jordi Escobar, Alejandro Balde and Santiago Ramos Mingo.

The team will return to work at 18:00 CEST this Tuesday evening for their second session of the day ahead of their first pre-season friendly against Nastic.

Memphis will not participate in the first pre-season friendly, nor will the other three internationals who are back following Euro 2020 - Antoine Griezmann, Frenkie de Jong and Clement Lenglet.

The presence of Griezmann generates more speculation regarding his future, since he is one of the players that Barcelona would like to sell to help their poor financial situation. Negotiations with Atletico, and their exchange with Saul Niguez, are, for the moment, on ice.
