Barcelona progressed in the Champions League with a 3-1 win over Napoli on Saturday night and Lionel Messi was the star of the show, but he finished the night with just one goal to his name after VAR ruled out another of his efforts for handball.
Messi was adamant that the ball didn't touch his arm as he put it in the net and maintained a lengthy conversation with Turkish referee Cuneyt Cakir as VAR looked at it.
Then, Messi and Cakir were in conversation again in the first half as an age passed before the referee went to the monitor to confirm a penalty for a foul by Kalidou Koulibaly.
At the full time whistle, Messi and Cakir shared another moment and it was captured by the cameras.
As the official reached out to Messi for a fist bump - a normal greeting these days - the player scolded the Turk.
It's not clear what he said or if he did later offer a handshake or fist bump to the referee, but it was clear that Messi finished the game unhappy about the incidents of the first half.
